The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs has established Women Resource Centers (WRCs) in collaboration with international organizations.
Currently, Women Resource Centers of the Committee operate in 17 districts (Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Neftchala, Masalli, Salyan, Gusar, Zagatala, Khachmaz, Khazar district of Baku city, Fizuli, Agjabadi, Tartar, Jalilabad, Sumgayit, Barda, Tovuz, Goychay).
Women's Resource Centers function as technical institutions providing a wide range of services to women, including counselling, mentoring, networking, safe space, effective communication, and advocacy.
In various communities, Women Resource Centers focus on a wide range of topics, including preventing early marriage in schools, educating individuals on avoiding deviant behavior, addressing issues of domestic violence and human trafficking, promoting gender equality and human rights, addressing complications related to drug abuse, educating individuals on financial literacy, helping individuals create NGOs, providing guidance on writing resumes, providing education on reproductive health, addressing issues related to elective abortion and its complications, helping families manage their budgets, enhancing business skills, promoting entrepreneurship, strengthening leadership skills, developing leadership skills of students, facilitating parent-teacher colleges and promoting parent-teacher partnerships.
To ensure continuity of activities after the completion of projects, the Committee ensured that the Centres operate as legally registered NGOs. 9 Women's Resource Centers (Neftchala, Bilasuvar, Sabirabad, Salyan, Masalli, Zagatala, Gusar, Xachmaz, Goychay) have been registered and given NGO status. The Centers implement projects by receiving grants from local and international organizations such as NGOs.
