About us
The State Committee on Women's Issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on January 14, 1998. The need for a comprehensive solution to the problems of family and children along with the problems of women led to the establishment of a unified state body. In this regard, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 6, 2006.
The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs is a central executive power body implementing and regulating the state policy on family, women and children’s issues.
DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN
On approval of the Statute of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on its structure and the number of its staff
In order to provide the activities of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby resolve as follows:
1.To approve "Regulations on the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
2. To approve the "Structure of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
3.To establish the number of staff of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan as 77 full-time employees.
4. To charge the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic within a month:
4.1. To prepare and submit to the President of the Azerbaijan Republic proposals on bringing the existing normative legal acts into conformity with this Decree;
4.2. To solve issues arising from this Decree within its competence.
5. This Decree shall come into force on the date of its publication.

On granting authority to sign the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “Save the Children” organization of the United States of America on the transfer of Child and Family Support Centers
ORDER OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN
1. To authorize Hijran Kamran gizi Huseynova, the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to sign on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and ”Save the Children” organization on the transfer of Child and Family Support Centers".
2. To notify the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States of America to transfer the power to sign the agreement mentioned in paragraph 1 of this Order on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Hijran Kamran gizi Huseynova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

ORDER OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN
1. To authorize Hijran Kamran giza Huseynova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to sign on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and ”Save the Children” organization of the United States of America on the transfer of Child and Family Support Centers".
2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan should send the appropriate notification to the United States of America to delegate authority to sign the agreement mentioned in paragraph 1 of this Order on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Hijran Kamran gizi Huseynova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
