Summary of activities of the Gender-Based Violence Helpline 860
The implementation of the Support Line pilot project has started in the framework of cooperation with the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the UN Population Fund, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
The pilot project 860 Gender-based violence Helpline has been operational since 01.11.2020 and has been receiving calls from victims of domestic violence since 01.12.2020.
Support line is implemented by "Genesis Psychology" organization. The staff of the Support Line consists of 4 people, 1 of whom is a manager and 3 of whom are operators. Within the framework of the pilot project, operators receive calls from 09:00 to 18:00.
860 The goals and objectives of the Helpline related to gender-based violence:
Purpose:
In addition to informing the caller, the goal is to support them, guide them to possible solutions, and provide them with instructions.
Positions:
1) Assess Domestic Violence;
2) Carry out crisis intervention and personal security planning;
3) To raise awareness about Domestic Violence;
4) Provide information about service providers to the caller;
5) Refer to a consultant.
