The chairperson of the State Committee will receive citizens in Gazakh
Ms. Bahar Muradova, the chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs will receive citizens on April 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Heydar Aliyev Center of Gazakh region. Applications, appeals and proposals of residents of Gazakh, Agstafa and Tovuz regions will be considered at the reception.
In the regions, educational meetings were held in order to promote a healthy lifestyle
Educational meetings were held on formation of reproductive health behaviors and healthy lifestyle among teenagers and young people in educational institutions with the support of relevant institutions by the Agdam, Goranboy, Goygol, Hajigabul, Ismayilli, Sabirabad, Shuvelan, Zagatala and Zardab Child and Family Support Centers of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs. Employees of partner institutions, members of expert groups of centers, doctors, regional representatives of the Assembly of Children's Ambassadors, teachers, pupils, students and parents took part in the events. The experts provided the participants with detailed information about a healthy lifestyle, sanitary-hygiene rules, the consequences of harmful habits, the protection of reproductive health and family planning, the consequences of early marriages, medical examination before marriage, prevention of non-infectious diseases, the questions of the participants were answered, various educational materials on the topic have been distributed.
Meetings with parents were held on the topic "Family, family values and traditions"
Educational meetings among parents were held in secondary schools located in Baku for the purpose of implementation of Item 2.3.3 "Promotion of family values and traditions among the population, especially young people, and expansion of educational work in this area" of the "Action Plan for 2020-2025 on the Prevention of Prenatal Sex Selection of Children" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Department of Education for Baku City, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, a total of 346 parents participated in the meetings held in secondary school No. 57 named after martyr Tahir Hasanov of Narimanov district, secondary school No. 162 of Sabail district, and secondary school No. 194 named after Zakir Tofig oglu Yusifov located in Khatai district. Ayten Sadigova, the director of secondary school No. 57, Nargiz Alekparova, director of secondary school No. 162, and Elnara Zeynalova, director of secondary school No. 194, spoke about the importance of education in this direction. Gulnara Mammadova, the head of the Department of Family Affairs of the State Committee, who made the presentation, gave the participants extensive information about the preservation of family values and traditions, the main priority direction of the state family policy, the responsibility of the State Committee in this field and the work done. Later, discussions were held with parents in the direction of family issues that concern the society, complications arising in family relationships and ways out of them. The educational materials "Parent's Guide", "Recommendations for parents on the relationship with their children", "Be able to say no" prepared by the State Committee were distributed to the participants. Educational meetings were held with teenagers and young people
Meetings were held on the topic of "negative consequences of marriage", "complications caused by consanguineous marriages" jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Ministry of Health, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education in order to inform teenagers and young people about various topics in educational institutions for the students of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory of Music College and Baku Medical College. During the meetings, Ms. Kamila Aliyeva, deputy head of the Family Affairs Department of the State Committee, noted that early marriages between relatives are one of the urgent family issues of concern in our society as in other countries, and spoke about the negative consequences of such marriages and the legal documents adopted to prevent them. Giving detailed information to the participants about the work done by the committee, Ms. K. Aliyeva emphasized the importance of the activity of all members of society in the fight against false stereotypes, and gave her recommendations to teenagers and young people. Ms. Parvin Guliyeva and Ms. Zumrud Kazimova, experts of the Center for Public Health Reforms of the Ministry of Health, took part in the meetings. Experts talked about the negative effects of early marriage on reproductive health, the risk of birth of children with limited health opportunities as a result of consanguineous marriages, and the most common diseases in children born from these marriages. At the meeting, the questions of interest to the participants were answered, a social media related to the topic was shown, and printed materials were distributed. A total of 300 teenagers and young people benefited from the meetings.
An online competition called "My favorite book" among schoolchildren of the region is being launched
An online competition is launched for the purpose of developing reading skills and instilling love for books among students of grades 1-11 living and studying in regions where Child and Family Support Centers of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs operate (Khazar district of Baku, Saatli, Sabirabad, Hajigabul, Zardab, Gabala, Ismayilli, Goygol, Goranboy, Aghdam, Zagatala). Each schoolchild who wants to participate in the competition must provide information about himself/herself (name, surname, father's name, school and class he attended, author and title of the book he talked about in the video) and the video (in the video, the participant provides information about a book he has read or loved, the importance of that book and other will explain the reason for recommending people to read) to the e-mail address regionmerkez@gmail.com and at the end of the competition, 5 winners from each region will be given a "Reading corner" (a bookshelf, a desk, a desk chair, books and stationery) in the home of the participant consisting) will be created. We invite schoolchildren from the above-mentioned regions to participate in the competition, to share their knowledge and skills with their peers, and to show support in conveying the importance of reading to a wider audience. Members of the Public Council held a meeting at the State Committee
The members of the Public Council under the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs met with Ms. Aynur Sabitova, judicial adviser and the head of the Human Rights and Communication Department of the Ministry of Justice, and the responsible employees of a number of departments. During the meeting, views were exchanged on issues such as early marriage, relative marriages, problems related to alimony, as well as protection of children's and women's rights, and directions of action related to mutual cooperation were discussed.

Members of the Public Council under the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs met with Fazil Novruzov, Chief of Staff of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and heads of departments of the Council. During the meeting, the participants discussed the protection of children's and women's rights in social programs broadcast on television, as well as potential areas of mutual cooperation.

The next "Open Doors" day will be held in the regions
The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs is planning to hold the next "Open Doors" day in the regions. The "Open Doors Day" will be held on March 28, 2024, from 10:00 to 17:00 by the Child and Family Support Centers of the State Committee with the participation of psychologists, social workers and lawyers.
