The topic of the last panel moderated by Ms. Shafag Mehraliyeva,  ADA University Communication and Digital Media program director was "The role of the media in domestic violence".

Participants of the last panel Mr. Natig Mammadli,  deputy head of the  Media Development Agency , Mr. Rafail Suleymanov,  Senior prosecutor of the law enforcement control department in the investigation and operational search activities of the internal affairs bodies of the General Prosecutor's Office , Mr.Vugar Zifaroglu,  Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of BSU , Mr. Mushvig Alasgarli , Deputy Chairperson of the Press Council, Chairman of the Union of Journalists,   Ms. Humay Akhundzade, sector manager of the Social Research Center talked about the importance of a professional journalistic approach to domestic violence in the media and proper coverage of the topic, especially media literacy.

The speakers emphasized the importance of the role of the media in the direction of conducting extensive awareness-raising work in the society and raising awareness about gender-based violence in order to take preventive measures, and noted that the mass media have a great responsibility in improving public support mechanisms and communicating the problem to the society.

After the discussions, the video film "Black and White" was shown.

Ms. Bahar Muradova, the chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affair , who made her final speech, congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the conference and emphasized that the discussions on the panels devoted to important issues during the two days were useful and effective.

She noted that by evaluating the current situation for the coming period, we should take a more serious look at the future goals and prioritize them, based on the results of the Action Plan on combating domestic violence.
