Within cooperation between Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and the State Сommittee on Family, Women and Children Problems activities in the field of legal education of women – prisoners are being organized periodically. 

On January 26, 2018 a meeting was held in penal institution No. 4 between representatives of Committee and women in correctional facilities , in order to review and resolve the problems of women enterring correctional institutions. 

Key issues had been discussed during the event:

Meetings with family members or relatives living in the regions 

Problems related to children who studying in orphanages and boarding schools

Social situation of families of women in prison

Restoring birth certificates for the children of female prisoners

Restoration of communication with relatives 

Appeals to the Pardon Issues Commission

Civil disputes

Problems of female prisoners will be analyzed by Committee and necessary measures will be taken.
