The meeting dedicated to increasing the participation of women in elections was held in the city of Lankaran on February 1, 2024  with the joint cooperation of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs  and the Central Election Commission.

 At the meeting, Mr. Alovsat Rufiyev, Chairperson of Lankaran village electoral district No. 78 and Mr. Eldar Mammadov,  spoke and declared the meeting open.

Then, Ms, Aynur Sofiyeva, the Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee, spoke about the state women's policy implemented in our country, and the importance of women being active in every field of social and political life.

The deputy chairperson said that the State Committee regularly holds meetings and events in the direction of encouraging women to vote. She noted the importance of our women actively participating in the election process using their civil rights.
