The International Women's Forum was held on the topic "Experience of Uzbekistan and member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the field of support for women"

Jeyran Rahmatullayeva, chief of staff of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, took part in the Forum held in Samarkand.

Panel discussions were held and speeches were heard on the topics of "Mechanisms for studying and systematically solving women's social problems" and "Protecting family values and strengthening the family institution in the process of globalization", "Expanding educational opportunities for women, supporting innovative projects and involving them in the field of information technologies"; "Economic empowerment of women, ensuring employment and supporting entrepreneurial activity", "Protecting women's rights and legal interests, expanding their participation in the decision-making process, ensuring gender equality" at the forum;

Speaking on the topic of "Development and empowerment of women in the Republic of Azerbaijan" in the panel entitled "Expanding educational opportunities for women, supporting innovative projects and involving them in the field of information technologies", Jeyran Rahmatullayeva gave detailed information about the current policy in the country and the work done in this field.

She noted that in Azerbaijan, the trend towards equality at the level of state management and decision-making continues to grow at all levels, starting with the parliament. The increase in the number of women working in law Enforcement Agencies and diplomatic service Agencies reflects positive dynamics in this field.

J. Rahmatullayeva pointed out that the stable trend continues in the field of healthcare and social protection of the population, and added that according to the analysis of the UN Gender Inequality Index, Azerbaijan rose to 55th place in the world in the field of equal education in 2022. She noted that the analysis of the number of students studying in higher education institutions suggests that higher education is more important in the country: "According to the analyzes of the World Economic Forum's Gender Difference Index and the UN's Gender Inequality Index, in the field of economic activity and opportunities around the world Azerbaijan rose to 36th place in 2022."

Also, within the framework of the visit, a meeting of the delegation with the leading members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was held.

At the meeting, J. Rahmatullayeva discussed the work to be done in the field of increasing women's interest in information technologies and artificial intelligence and further expanding their activities in the field of ICT within the framework of future joint cooperation between the Committee and International Women's Organizations of the OIC.

At the same time, J. Rahmatullayeva, who gave an interview to the "Uzbekistan 24" TV channel during the visit, shared her impressions about the Forum.
