A meeting was held with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ms. Zuleykha Makhamova

On November 21, 2023, Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with Mrs. Zuleykha Makhamova, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement's conference on "Development of Women's Rights and Women's Empowerment".

Expressing that Uzbekistan is pleased to be a co-organizer of the Conference within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, the Chair of the Committee pointed out that the event is an important initiative for the establishment of this Platform.

Stating that the relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have ancient roots, B. Muradova emphasized that these relations within the framework of the Union of Turkic States are intensively developing and experiencing their highest development period. She said that the relations between the Presidents of the country have an effect on the expansion of bilateral relations.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ms. Zuleykha Makhamova, expressed her satisfaction with the partnership in the prestigious event held within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement. She pointed out that the common language, culture and values bind our countries together, and that there are brotherly relations between our peoples, and she emphasized the importance of developing social cooperation and exchanging mutual experiences.

The meeting, attended by other officials from both sides, continued with discussions.
