Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, welcoming the guests who are visiting our country to participate in the Non-Aligned Movement's "Development of Women's Rights and Empowerment of Women" Conference, said she is pleased to see the ICESCO official in Baku.
B. Muradova said that effective cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization has been established, and noted the importance of making efforts to strengthen relations in the future.
She especially noted the exceptional role of the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and ISESCO.
Ramata Almamy Mbaye, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, expressed her gratitude for her participation in the high-level Conference and expressed her belief that the discussions held during the event will contribute to the resolution of the issues raised.
She said that ICESCO is interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in support of women affected by the war, their participation in the peace-building process, as well as the program on the protection of children's rights and other issues.
During the meeting, prospects of future cooperation between Azerbaijan and ICESCO were discussed, as well as other issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
Other officials from both sides participated in the meeting.
