On November 6, 2023, Mrs.Bahar Muradova, the Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, met with the young people selected for the volunteering program.

Mrs. Aynur Sofiyeva, the Deputy Chair giving information about the volunteering program, noted that a total of 41 people applied for participation in the volunteering program announced on October 9-27, 2023, and 30 of them were selected. At the same time, the Deputy Chair emphasized that the Committee is a member of the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan. A. Sofiyeva brought to attention the information about the experience process of the young people participating in the program. 

The Chair of the Committee Mrs.Bahar Muradova welcomed the young people and reviewed the history of the volunteering movement. She reminded that international experience has been studied since the idea of volunteering was born, then the Law "On Volunteering" was adopted, and the first Forum was held in 2014.

Drawing attention to the committee's activities in the direction of volunteerism, the chairman said that in order to cover all areas of society, children in the form of the "Children's Ambassadors Assembly", young people in the current program, and various families in the form of "Family Volunteers" are involved in this work.

In the end, the chairman voiced his recommendations to the volunteers and noted the importance of their participation in all areas of the social life of the country, not only related to family, women's and children's issues, with the experience they will gain here. She emphasized that such projects are important in terms of the concentration of young people and their support for each other in the field of contributing to the work of ensuring women's and children's rights, as well as gender equality. B. Muradova said that each of the young people participating in the program can become social activists in the future and wished them success in the internship program.

Voicing their opinions about the volunteering program, young people noted the importance of ensuring women's and children's rights, gender equality, and experience in social work. They said that they believe that they will apply the new knowledge they have learned thanks to the program in their activities in the future.

It should be noted that the purpose of organizing the volunteering program is to use the potential of young people more effectively, to create conditions for their active participation in all areas of society, to inculcate professional habits, and to increase their practical knowledge.
