Speaking at the meeting, the Chair of the State Committee said that there is great interest in this project in the society, that the Assembly of Ambassadors is known not only in Azerbaijan, but also outside the borders of the country.
Noting that this network has grown over time, its capabilities have expanded, she emphasized the importance of conducting elections more seriously, selecting children who will contribute the most to the process of protecting and guaranteeing children's rights in the country.
Stating that children should participate in the determination and formulation of policies related to them, in the preparation and implementation of projects according to their interests, the chairman pointed out that such projects are important in terms of ensuring their right to participation.
The chairman congratulated the children elected to the Assembly and wished them success in their activities.
Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Aynur Sofiyeva, the Deputy Chair of the State Committee, informed about the selection tour of the Children's Assembly of Ambassadors. She noted that 13-16-year-old children with independent self-expression skills, social activity, and leadership qualities participated in the competition and 89 applications were registered for 4 places.
Nijat Rahimov, Tunar Mammadli, Inci Huseynli, Ibrahim Ali Khudiyev, who have just joined the ranks of the assembly, said that this mission is an honorable and great responsibility as children's ambassadors and gave information about themselves. Expressing their pride in being elected as members of the Assembly of Children's Ambassadors, the children said that they will properly represent them as the children's voice in the Assembly.
In the end, the Chairman of the Committee congratulated each of the newly elected members from the heart and also advised them to be more responsible and constantly increase their potential as citizens of the winning country.
