Training for lawyers and judges

Training organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, was held for lawyers and judges to improve their skills in dealing with domestic violence and victims of domestic violence.
Mr. Rahil Suleymanzadeh, an employee of the Committee's Legal Assurance Department, who gave an opening speech at the seminar held on October 27, 2023, drew attention to the essence of the training and its contributions. He gave information about the shortcomings in the application of the existing legislation in the direction of domestic violence and the rules related to the issuance of protection warrants.
Later, Mrs. Khalisa Shahverdiyeva, the expert of the World Bank on Gender and Development, member of the Bar Association, and lawyer made a presentation on the rules of behavior with victims of domestic violence, mistakes made in practice, and ways to eliminate them.
It should be noted that the training, which took place with the participation of 30 lawyers and judges, was held in order to implement clause 12.6.1 of the "National Action Plan for 2020-2023 on the fight against domestic violence in the Republic of Azerbaijan".
