An international seminar on "Family and cultural problems in the context of gender equality" was held in Guba region with the cooperation of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

At the seminar, speeches were made on the topics "The role of education in ensuring gender equality in the family", "Gender equality in the family: traditions and modern trends", "National and international strategies towards gender equality", ethnic aspects in modern family relations, family models, family economy, spirituality and the influence of cultural problems, social media, the role of new technologies, as well as the influence of international cooperation were discussed.

At the event, Aytekin Hajiyeva, an employee of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, spoke on the topic "State women policy and gender strategy" and spoke about the importance of gender equality.

Representatives from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Bulgaria participated in the seminar.
