The State Committee held a board meeting on the results of the year 2022

On February 9, 2023, board meeting of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs devoted to results of the last year and discussion of the forthcoming tasks took place.
The meeting was attended by members of the board, directors of 11 Child and Family Support Centers of the State Committee, and members of the Public Council.
A minute's silence was held before the event in memory of great leader Haydar Aliyev, our compatriots killed for freedom of our lands, as well as victims of the earthquake in brotherly Turkiye.
Afterwards, 4 questions were presented to the discussion of the board.
Speaking on the results of the Committee's activity in 2022 the Chairperson Mrs.Bahar Muradova noted that, as in other areas, important work has been done to implement policies on family, women and children.
Reporting on the work done to improve legislation in the field of family, women and children, as well as on ongoing activities and projects, the Chairperson spoke about the awareness-raising work carried out in the relevant direction, prepared analyses and brought statistical indicators and achieved results to the attention of the participants.
Addressing international cooperation, Muradova informed about the successful presentation of the sixth periodic report by the State Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women at the 82nd session of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) stressing that the report was highly appreciated.
She also noted that the "Action Plan on the Protocol of Cooperation" signed between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Turkiye will promote the exchange of experience in the relevant field.
Regarding the activities of the Сhild and Family Support Centers of the State Committee, B. Muradova spoke about the services provided at the centers, as well as the projects and activities being implemented.
She also mentioned the regional receptions held by the order of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the results of the appeals received by the State Committee.
The Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee Aynur Sofiyeva presented the work plan for the first half of the year and information about the tasks, projects and activities to be carried out.
The Committee's Deputy Chairperson Sadagat Gahramanova also gave information about the schedule of events, conferences and meetings related to declaring 2023 "The Year of Haydar Aliyev".
The Chief of Staff of the State Committee Jeyran Rahmatullayeva presented the final results of the fifth and sixth joint periodic reports of the Government of Azerbaijan on the implementation of the "UN Convention on the Rights of the Child".
The reports were followed by a discussion. Members of the Public Council voiced suggestions and recommendations for the Committee's activities, as well as for cooperation with civil society.
Decisions were taken on the board's agenda.
In conclusion, Mrs.Bahar Muradova expressed confidence that this year the State Committee will continue important activities and further activities will be more successful.
