Gender equality in local executive authorities

The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, with the support of the European Union, conducts training for the deputy heads of the executive authorities as the persons responsible for gender issues of the local executive authorities within the framework of the "EU Gender Equality: Reform Assistance Service" project.
On November 28-29, 2022, the training organized on the topic of "Gender Equality and Management" is focused on the state policy for ensuring gender equality, the causes of gender inequality and ways to eliminate it, global trends, a gender-sensitive approach, gender indicators and verification tools, gender description of the responsible person's function and information about his role in management.
Mrs. Sadagat Gahramanova, the Deputy Chair of the State Committee, who delivered the opening speech, noted the purpose and importance of the exercises. Maryam Haji-Ismayilova, an employee of the International Assistance and Cooperation Department of the European Union Delegation, and Gunel Mehdiyeva, a project specialist, emphasized the importance of ensuring equal benefits for both women and men in the work being carried out.
The training continued with the presentation of Shahla Ismayil, an expert on gender issues.
