The next meeting on combating early marriage and school dropouts was held in Gobustan

On April 25, 2022, within the framework of joint cooperation between the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Executive Power of Gobustan region, an enlightening meeting was held at the community level with the parents of students dropping out of school in Gobustan region.
The meeting was attended by Mrs. Aynur Sofiyeva, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Mrs. Tarana Gulaliyeva, Deputy Head of the Gobustan District Executive Power and Head of the Department of Socio-Political and Humanitarian Affairs, as well as representatives of relevant agencies, members of the Commission on Juvenile Affairs, representative of the Department of Education, cleric, law enforcement representative, mayors, executive representatives, principals of secondary schools, psychologists and parents.
During the meeting, parents were informed about the consequences of early marriage and school dropouts and the negative impact on the lives of girls. In particular, parents who deprive their children of education were heard and discussions were held to solve their problems.
After the meeting, a family in Arabshahverdi village was visited to investigate the case of the dropout at the place. At the same time, officials of the relevant agencies visited the modular school and got acquainted with the educational process.
