The issue of women's rights was discussed in the context of socio-political realities

The Department of Relations with Political Parties and Legislative Authority of the Presidential Administration and the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs organized a conference on "Women's rights in the context of new socio-political realities" on March 4, 2022.
In her opening speech, Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs greeted the participants and noted that as a result of successful cooperation, several online events and meetings were held in this format last year.
Speaking about the positive achievements of recent years, the chairperson noted that Azerbaijan has a healthy socio-political unity, a wonderful environment for dialogue and discussion, taking into account all the issues that could lead to conflicts within the country.
The chairperson of the committee said that in this wonderful environment, March 8 is celebrated in Azerbaijan and a number of countries around the world as a day that reflects women's rights, their provision and declaration and subsequent development. Azerbaijan also has its own attitude to this. The state always takes serious steps on this eve and in general to ensure women's rights.She noted that women's rights in Azerbaijan are regulated by national legislation, and compliance with the provisions of the laws in this area.
At the end of her speech, the chairperson of the committee congratulated all women on the upcoming Women's Day on March 8 and stressed that the participation of women in the ongoing processes is very important for the comfort, freedom and security of our world, and we will be able to contribute to this area.
At the end of the conference, representatives of the private sector and women entrepreneurs who joined the "Support for Young Girls' Education" campaign were awarded. It should be noted that the campaign supported students from low-income families in different regions of the country, who achieved high results in the entrance exams to higher education institutions last year.
