Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts organized an international scientific-practical conference "Application of social work to prevent domestic violence" within the framework National Action Plan to Combat Domestic Violence in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2023 was held on May 20, 2021.

The purpose of the conference is to study the scientific and practical aspects of social work in this area to contribute to the strengthening of measures to prevent domestic violence, to develop recommendations based on international experience in strengthening existing legislation and social protection mechanisms.

The conference was attended by the officials of the relevant Committee of the Milli Majlis, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Interior, and other government agencies, representatives of international organizations, as well as specialists and experts from Turkey, America, Lithuania, and Germany.

Mrs. Jeyran Rahmatullayeva, Chief of Staff of the State Committee, a specialist in social work and child development, made a report and presentation on "Organization of social work with the victims of domestic violence."
