The State Committee and UNICEF have signed an Action Plan for 2021-2022

Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs met with Mr. Edward Carwardine, UNICEF Representative in Azerbaijan on May 5, 2021.
The meeting focused on the measures taken last year to protect the rights of children and projects for the coming years.
Drawing attention to the UNICEF country program, the Chairperson of the State Committee said that this program is a serious document that takes into account all parameters of child development in Azerbaijan. The issues outlined in this document are important in terms of contributing to the implementation of documents reflecting the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as national development priorities.
Mr. Edward Carwardine noted that last year posed some threats and challenges to the people and the pandemic had a great impact on both children and families, and the consequences of this impact continue today.
Drawing attention to the Action Plan for 2021-2022, Mr. Carwardine said the document covers various areas and will allow for joint work at a higher level.
At the end of the event, the State Committee and UNICEF signed the Action Plan for 2021-2022.
