As a result of  Fizuli and Jabrayil regions occupation by the Armenian armed forces on August 23, 1993, more than 1,460  citizens became martyrs, 1,741 people  were disabled  and 181 people  dismissed.  

36361 children from Fizuli region were injured, 155 of them lost their parents, 11 children died and one child dismissed.  13 children from Jabrayil region were killed, 7 children lost both parents, 3 children were taken hostage.
