The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs continues its work aimed at involvement of 110 children repatriated from the Republic of Iraq to the Republic of Azerbaijan during 2018-2020, as well as work with their guardians, providing them with psychological, legal and social assistance during the pandemic.

A three-day online training started on July 22, 2020 with the participation of psychologists and education experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross and the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs for the teaching staff, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Education, and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations.

Experts from the Ministry of Education assessed 116 children who will be involved in education and divided into 24 groups according to their age and educational needs, also 12 teachers were identified. The lessons will be held on azerbaijani language, mathematics and worldview. Online classes are scheduled to begin on August 4, 2020.

In order to make online services more efficient, tablets were purchased for 109 vulnerable families living in social exclusion, with the support of UNICEF and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Currently, the staff of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs together with the relevant representatives of the executive power passes the tablets to the families of children. It should be noted that repatriated children live in 23 regions of the country, including Baku, Sumgayit and Ganja.
