Online trainings on “Ensuring Gender Equality in Local Self-Government: Achievements and Positive Practices”

The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted an online course on "Ensuring Gender Equality in Local Self-Government: Achievements and Positive Practices."
The online course, which lasted from June 16 to 19, involved 25 chairs and deputy chairs from local governments. The main purpose of the course was to convey knowledge and exchange views on the following topics:"Innovative public administration technologies: Azerbaijan's experience", "State women policy and gender equality in local governments", "Main aspects of activities of municipalities", "Gender aspects of the pandemic: international and national experience”.
Rector of the Academy of Public Administration, academician Urkhan Alakbarov, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Affairs Mrs. Bahar Muradova and deputy chairperson Mrs,Sadagat Gahramanova, head of the information and Mr. Elgun Safarov, head of the legal department Mrs. Taliya Ibrahimova, took part in the online training course. Mrs.Aynur Veysalova, Chief Adviser of the Information and analytical research department, Mr. Tofig Hasanov, Executive Secretary of the National Association of Municipalities of Azerbaijan, Professor Khatira Huseynova, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Management of the Academy of Public Administration gave lectures.
