One of the priorities of the state policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the family policy. The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs regularly carries out measures to support the state's family policy. In this regard, every year, in May, the Committee carries out various activities on the occasion of International Family Day (in accordance with the UN General Assembly resolution 20 September 1993).

As a part of the work carried out in the direction of implementation of the state family policy, the conference is planned to be held jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the State Committee for Religious Organizations dedicated to the 15 May International Family Day, named "Family Empowerment is the Basis of Spiritual Health of the Society". The main purpose of the conference is to promote the development of the Azerbaijani family model and protect the family traditions, to draw the attention of society to family issues, to propagandize our national and spiritual values as well as family values.

The conference will focus on the following topics: "State family policy and ways of its development", "Role of national and religious values in the formation and maintenance of family institute", "Improving legislation in the direction of family welfare and strengthening social protection", "Role of international organizations in strengthening family institution", “Protection of family values: family, school and society union "," The role of family in the formation of youth's life strategy "," Influence of modernization and globalization on family institution "," Family vision in Islam "," Modern family, social networks and spiritual values "," Azerbaijan family culture and modernity ".

The conference will be held at the “Quba” ball room of the Hyatt Regency Baku hotel on May 15, 2013, at 10:30. The conference will be attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, international organizations, scientists and cultural figures and etc.
