Trainings on "Ensuring safe use of the Internet for children" were held in schools

The trainings on "Ensuring safe use of the Internet for children" were held with the participation of 8-11th grade students at secondary schools No. 72 and 188 in Sabunchu district, No. 53 in Yasamal district, No. 3 in Khirdalan city of Absheron district and No. 4 in Mehdiabad, with joint cooperation of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Ministry of Education within the framework of the “Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy for Children of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2025” and the “Cyber Security Awareness Month” .
The purpose of the trainings held on October 26-29, 2021 is to protect children from cyber threats and harmful information, to promote the Law "On protection of children from harmful information" signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 30, 2018 and to raise awareness on the relevant topic.
The trainings were conducted by Sevil Rasulzadeh, an employee of the Information and Analytical Research Department of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, and Aysel Hajiyeva, an employee of the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
During the training, the presentations provided information on cyber threats that children and adolescents may face on the Internet, methods of protection against them, rules of proper use of the Internet and other information.
In total, about 130 students participated in the educational trainings.
