The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Issues together with UNFPA(United Nations Population Fund), UNDP(United Nations Development Programme), UNHCR(United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), UNICEF(The United Nations Children's Fund), IOM(International Organization for Migration), FAO(Food and Agriculture Organization), USAID(United States Agency for International Development) held the conference on “Leave No One Behind: End Violence Against Women and Girls” dedicated to 16 days of activism campaign against gender-based violence on 24 November, 2017. The main purpose of this campaign is providing enlightenment about gender-based violence at local, national, regional and international level.

Mrs. Hijran Huseynova, the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Issues delivered a speech at the beginning of the conference. Afterwards the floor was given to United Nations Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Mr. Gulam Ishagzai, The Deputy Chief of Mission of U.S Embassy Mr. William R. Gill, The head of division on work with youth of under age of Main Public Security department of Ministry Internal Affairs Mr.Adigozal Adigozalov , Deputy Chair of Nizami district Executive Power Mrs Gulnaz Israfilova, The Head of “Constitution” Research Foundation Mr.Alimammad Nuriyev.

The desk calendars with the slogan “stop making excuses for violence” were published and disseminated among participants.

Velo Rally was held from the Azneft Square to the Heydar Aliyev Center on 25th November in the frames of this campaign.
