Children are the future of our society. Our main goals are to create a carefree life for children, make sure that the children receive high-level education, training and health, and grow up physically and mentally healthy in a supportive social environment. The emergence of our children as well-rounded individuals and responsible citizens of the country is the leading direction of the child policy of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan. 
National Forums of Azerbaijani Children   being held every 3 years are the part of the state child policy consistently pursued in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On November 20, 2017 the lV National Forum of Azerbaijani Children had been co-organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Heydar Aliyev Foundation and UNICEF Azerbaijan Office.

The forum was attended by a total of 380 children from all districts of Azerbaijan.

An exhibition consisting of children’s handicrafts was shown within the framework of the Forum.

The Vice-chair of New Azerbaijan Party Mr. Ali Ahmedov read out the letter of congratulation of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev to the Forum’s participants.

Mrs. Hijran Huseynova, the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs delivered a speech at the beginning of the Forum and mentioned: “Problems of the children keep their significance and importance in the contemporary world. The future of the children depends on the activity of the governmental structures, international, non-governmental organizations and each of us. It is crucial to develop activities directed on strengthening children’s health, provision of all the necessary conditions for children to get education complying with modern requirements. The Vice-president of Azerbaijan Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva pays a great attention to the national child care system, establishment of the effective preschool condition, to developing an integrated approach to child protection. Heydar Aliyev Foundation realizes a large scale projects in the provision of the best interests of the children and their development. ”.

Also the Chairperson emphasized that nowadays one the priority directions of the public policy are to create necessary conditions for intellectual, physical and psychological development, to provide comprehensive formation of children’s personality.

An address to the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev and a Final Declaration was adopted at the end of the Forum.
