On October 4, 2017 the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs (SCFWCA) in cooperation with UNESCO has organized an event on  "Strengthening employment opportunities and professional qualifications of refugee and IDP girls with incomplete education". In the framework of the training participants were informed about the state women policy, about the activities on ensuring gender equality in the human rights protection system, women's advancement, women's participation in local governance, the concept of gender discrimination and mechanisms of protection of women's rights in Azerbaijan, development of women entrepreneurship. The purpose of the training was to promote gender equality, propaganda of international and national mechanisms on protection of women's rights . Participants were involved actively in discussions on women’s role in decision-making processes. 
At the end of the event the booklets entitled "Empowerment of Women" were distributed among the participants.
