A panel meeting on "Multidisciplinary approach to domestic violence and specialist training" was held as part of the international conference held in Baku.

In the discussions moderated by Ms. Jeyran Rahmatullayeva, Head of Staff of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, Ms. Jana Bewersdorff,Senior Public Prosecutor, Ministry of Justice  and Health of the Land Schleswig-Holstein, Head of division for probation services , Ms. Gunel Sadygova, deputy dean of the faculty of training lawyers and mediators at the Academy of Justice - junior judicial advisor , Ms. Aytekin Huseynli,  Doctor of Philosophy at San Louis Washington University, USA, senior researcher of the Brown Faculty of Social Work and Public Health , Dr. Yemisi Sloane, Lecturer in Social Sciences, University of Westminster , Mr. Farid Adilov,  PhD student  of  Essex University had the speech.

During the session, it was emphasized the importance of increasing the efficiency of existing assistance services for victims of domestic violence, preparing special support programs that take into account the relevant needs of victims of violence, strengthening measures to protect the confidentiality of information related to this category of people and training professional specialists in order to prevent cases of domestic violence.

At the same time, discussions were held on the activities of the monitoring groups on gender violence and violence against children in the field of domestic violence prevention, involving public institutions and non-governmental organizations in the fight against domestic violence and strengthening their capabilities, training people who are prone to violent behavior, and increasing financial capacity.
