The next panel session was held within the framework of the international conference organized by the State Committee on "Prevention of domestic violence: opportunities and prospects".

The panel moderated by Mr. Faig Agayev, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of the Social Services Agency of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, was dedicated to the topic "The role of NGOs in the prevention of domestic violence and implementation of rehabilitation measures".

At the session, Ms. Mehriban Zeynalova, head  of the "Clean World" Women's Aid Public Union, Ms. Kamala Agazade, head of the Azerbaijan Children's Union, founder of the Children's Shelter-Reintegration Center, Ms.Kamala Ashumova, chairperson  of the Hopeful Future Social Initiatives Public Union, Nigar Helmi, chairperson of the "Azerbaijan-Turkey Social Progress Assistance" Public Union. Abbasbeyli, Ms. Jala Hajiyeva, executive director of Azerbaijan Microfinance Association Public Union (AMFA) have speech on the topic.

The speakers touched upon the issues of rehabilitation and integration of the victims of violence, especially women and children, and emphasized the importance of initial assessment and exchange of experience in this process.

It was noted that strengthening the cooperation of state institutions with civil society will play an important role in solving the existing problems in society, and also the related and coordinated activity in the field of more reliable protection of the rights of the victims will lead to more successful results.

At the end, the questions of the participants were answered.
