Aghdam, Shuvelan, Saatli, Sabirabad, Hajigabul, Gabala, Ismailli, Goranboy, Goygol, Zagatala, Zardab Child and Family Support Centers (CFSC) of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs together with the relevant institutions organized a series of events within the framework of "Children's Rights Month", including educational meetings, interactive seminars, drawing master classes, intellectual competitions, fun games in order to organize leisure time.
The events were attended by representatives of regional administrations and organizations, employees of CFSC, members of expert groups of centers and the Assembly of Children's Ambassadors, teachers and students of schools, parents, and community residents.
The speakers emphasized that protecting children's rights takes an important place in the state's policy and talked about the work done in this field. The importance of raising awareness in the field of children's rights in education, healthcare, social protection, court, law enforcement, sports, culture, recreation, media, and other fields, as well as among children in the family and society and those who are in regular contact with them, was brought to attention.
Based on the presentations related to the topic, the participants of the event were given detailed information about the rights and duties of children, the institution protecting children's rights, the Children's Hotline service and the questions of the participants were answered, educational materials related to children's rights were distributed, and social media were shown.
It should be noted that on the eve of the anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention "On the Rights of the Child", October 20 - November 20 is declared "Children's Rights Month". The purpose of the month is to achieve effective protection and promotion of children's rights, raising awareness in this field and solving issues, guided by the main principles of the Convention.
About 800 people benefited from the events held within the monthly framework.
