The chairperson of the committee participated in the international event on "Cooperation for equality and inclusion"

The international conference was held under the joint organization of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITC) and the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATC) on September 26, 2023.
The conference was also attended by representatives of the trade unions of Albania, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Georgia, as well as officials of the Pan-European Regional Council (PARC).
Welcoming the guests, Mr. Sattar Mohbaliyev said that female members of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan consider revealing their potential as a priority: "Gender statistics show that men make up 47.7 percent of the total number of trade union members, while women make up 52.3 percent. 18.9 percent of the members are young people.
Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, spoke about the women's policy of our country, the measures taken to strengthen the gender policy in our country, the role of women in society, and the successes of women in science and education, health and culture, as well as in other fields. She said that Azerbaijani women are properly represented in important state institutions, parliaments and municipalities, actively participate in social-political, socio-economic, scientific-cultural processes, and make great contributions to the development of the country's sports.
Mrs. Hijran Huseynova, chairperson of the committee of the National Assembly, talked about the laws adopted to solve the issues related to women in our country, the signed decrees and orders, and the achievements achieved in the direction of realizing and guaranteeing women's rights with the implementation of relevant international documents in our country.
Mrs. Paula Simonetti, head of the Equality Department of the International Confederation of Trade Unions, gave detailed information about the situation in the world regarding women's rights, highlighted the duties of the trade unions in this direction, and touched on the importance of creating equal opportunities for women in all fields, including in working conditions.
At the event, speeches were also heard by Mr. Vusal Nasirli Deputy Minister, Mrs. Vladanka Andreyeva Resident Coordinator of the UN in Azerbaijan, Mr. Vugar Zeynalov vice-president of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Lamiya Zeynalova Department Head of the Ombudsman Office.
Opinions and suggestions were also voiced at the event, and a wide range of opinions were exchanged on the topic.
