Memorandum was signed within the framework of the "You Are Not Alone" support project for the education of martyred women

Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Azerbaijan Banks Association within the framework of the "You Are Not Alone" support project to martyr women's education on September 21, 2023.
Also, within the framework of the event, a meeting was held with the spouses of the martyrs who died for the sake of ensuring the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and liberating our holy lands from the enemy occupation.
Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the chairperson of the State Committee, who gave an opening speech at the event, greeted the guests and congratulated the spouses of the heroes of the Patriotic War on their admission to the university.
She said that today Azerbaijan is experiencing a very important and honorable period, the conflict that has been going on for more than 30 years has entered the final stage. Mrs. Bahar Muradova emphasized how many years we have been working for peace, and it is no coincidence that today the day of negotiations is celebrated as the International Day of Peace, as well as gathering in support of martyred women on such an eve.
Talking about the activities of the State Committee, Mrs. Bahar Muradova pointed out that the framework of social projects is gradually expanding and cooperation is being carried out with the relevant state bodies, business institutions, non-governmental organizations and the press in the direction of working with groups from vulnerable groups.
The chairperson talked about the project "Supporting Girls' Education" implemented in 2021-2022 in order to focus the attention of entrepreneurs, businessmen and business circles who have succeeded in one or another direction in the society on the process of involving girls in education.
She added that as a result of the implementation of the memorandum signed with the Ministry of Science and Education, a new fund - Education Development Support Fund was created, and the education of girls from low-income families was supported within the project.
At the same time, she spoke about the importance of signing a memorandum with the aim of legalizing cooperation with the Association of Banks, which supports the Committee in the implementation of the said project. "We are very happy that some of the martyred ladies tried their hand at education and succeeded. This encouraged us even more."
Mrs. B. Muradova noted that the State Committee has implemented a number of projects to support the families of martyrs in the framework of corporate social projects, both in the regions and in Baku, starting from 2020.
Speaking about the projects and measures to be implemented within the framework of the memorandum, the chairperson said that a working group will be created for the implementation of joint projects and experience exchange will be carried out.
Mr.Zakir Nuriyev, the president of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, who made a speech, drew attention to the activities of the Association within the framework of corporate social responsibility, and noted the importance of signing such Memorandums in order to make the work done in this direction systematic, result-oriented, and to correctly define the target groups.
Mr.Zakir Nuriyev said that the Memorandum will cover wide spectrums of mutual cooperation and will bring positive results for both institutions.
Mr. Nuriyev noted that according to the Memorandum, exchange of mutual experience, organization of joint programs, implementation of innovative initiatives, awareness in the corporate social field, etc. they will cooperate on issues.
Mr.Abbas Ibrahimov, the Chairperson of the Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan drew attention to the importance of the project and emphasized that the signed Memorandum is a great initiative for the parties.
Later, the spouses of the heroes of the Patriotic War said that the care given to the families of the martyrs by our state is an indicator of the respect shown to the martyrs, and they wished that the number of women who could stand on their own feet would be large.
