Training was held for the members of the monitoring group on gender violence and violence against children established in Mingachevir, Naftalan, Ganja, Samukh, Goygol and Goranboy District and City Executive Authorities in Yevlakh region under the organization of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs.
The purpose of the training is to implement the relevant clauses of the "National Action Plan for 2020-2023 on Combating Domestic Violence in the Republic of Azerbaijan", as well as to discuss issues such as strengthening measures to prevent domestic violence and conducting preventive work in the field of combating violence in the regions.
Mrs. Elnara Azizova, head of the social-political and humanitarian affairs department of the Yevlakh District Executive Authority, head of the monitoring group on gender violence and violence against children, welcomed the event participants and informed the participants about the work done in the field of domestic violence prevention.
The Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee, Mrs.Sadagat Gahramanova, made a speech that while the monitoring groups on gender violence and violence against children, established in district and city executive authorities across the republic, were carrying out their activities, guided by the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Prevention of Domestic Violence", she drew attention to the importance of taking preventive measures in relation to the cases of violence that have occurred.
The leaders of monitoring groups on gender violence and violence against children who participated in the training were also heard.
Mrs. Irada Mammadova, the representatives of the Committee's Legal Support Department, made a presentation on the topic "Analysis of the activities of monitoring groups on domestic violence and measures to be taken at the legal level."
