The fairy tale days called "Once Upon a Time…" began

On June 21, 2023, the new days covering a wide audience of children started by the organization of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the support of the head of the Executive Power of Khatai district of Baku city.
Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the Chair of the Committee who welcomed the project on the first day, thanked them for showing great interest in the event. She noted that the administration of Bursa municipality, which visited our country at the invitation of the Committee, as well as the support of Turkey's Family and Social Services, and storytellers also participate in the storytelling days.
B.Muradova said that the dear guests are wonderful artists and storytellers who tell fairy-tale-like legends about traditions, fraternal national-spiritual values, the historical past and the present day of the Turkish world, and easily tell everyone regardless of age.
Emphasizing that the Turkic world is connected to our historical past, the chairperson said that the young generation is shaping this geography in accordance with national and moral values, and at the same time, it is open to modern values and successful in building a democratic society.
Today, it can be seen that Azerbaijan-Turkey unity has reached an even higher level in recent years, as it is an example of solidarity with the world and peoples of the Turkic world and it also serves to create a modern healthy, safe world for all peoples, nations and states".
At the end of his speech, the Chair of the Committee expressed her belief that the projects aimed at raising the young generation in the spirit of national and moral values, forming reading habits in them, and instilling respect and love for the historical past along with modern development will be sustainable.
Then the performance of the artistic collective of the Children and Youth Development Center No. 3 was heard.
Later, musicians invited from the Republic of Turkey - Taner Baba and Tahir Ayne's tales about Turkey, Hilal Koçyiğit and Ertuğrul Bozkurt travel to the children's world with a series of Turkish tales sung for children, as well as stories told with Azerbaijani writer Solmaz Amanova.
It should be noted that the main goals in the organization of fairy-tale days are the familiarization with the culture, customs and traditions, folklore, and fairy tales of both countries, the formation of reading habits among them, the organization of the formation of leisure time, and the mass promotion of reading culture, and the event is ongoing until June 23.
