Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with the delegation led by Mr. Olloyerov Mansurbek Polvonzoda, the Director of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 6, 2023.

The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize with the field of social policy of Azerbaijan and to expand bilateral relations. The delegation was given detailed information about the implementation of family policy in Azerbaijan, as well as the work done in recent years in the field of protection of women's and children's rights, ideas were exchanged on future cooperation on projects implemented in the relevant direction.

Welcoming the guests, Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the Chairperson of the State Committee said that relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have ancient roots. Emphasizing that Uzbekistan is always with Azerbaijan in its rightful struggle, the Chairperson of the Committee said that the modern friendly relations, which were founded many years ago, are experiencing their highest development period today.

Mr. Mansurbek Olloyerov, the head of the delegation, pointed out that common language, culture and values bind our countries together, and that there are fraternal relations between our peoples. Speaking about the influence of the relations between our presidents on the expansion of bilateral relations, he emphasized the importance of developing social cooperation and sharing experience in the process of social reforms.

Mrs. Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, the first deputy director of the National Agency, who expressed her gratitude for the warm reception, highly appreciated the activity of Azerbaijan in the relevant field and noted the importance of learning this lesson.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Sadagat Gahramanova, the Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee, Mr. Hidayat Abdullayev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population,  Mr. Vugar Behbudov, the Chairperson of the Board of the Social Services Agency, as well as the heads of the relevant departments of the Committee.
