Today is the birthday of Aresta Bakhishova, the first female martyr of the Patriotic War

During the Patriotic War, Aresta Bakhishova provided medical aid to wounded soldiers on the battlefield during the battles for the liberation of Fuzuli, Zangila and Gubadli. She rose to the peak of martyrdom while taking out our wounded soldiers from the battlefield during the battles in Gubadli on October 23.
After her death, according to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, she was awarded the "For the Matherland" medal and the "Florence Nightingale" medal, established by the International Committee of the Red Cross in honor of the English nurse Florence Nightingale.
We remember Araste Bakhishova with respect, who was heroically martyred in the Patriotic War for the liberation of our lands from occupation and the restoration of territorial integrity.
