On May 3, 2023, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs organized a meeting of young people with Mr. Ali Huseynli, the MP, 1st Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis, Chairman of the Legal Policy and State Building Committee of the Parliament. The meeting on "Modern Azerbaijani statehood in the light of Heydar Aliyev's intelligence" was held in dialogue format.

Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the Chair of the State Committee, who delivered the opening speech, welcomed the participants and expressed her satisfaction to be surrounded by young people. Noting that Azerbaijan is living in a very important and glorious period today, the chairman said that the road to building an independent and powerful state is not easy: "Despite all the difficulties, today there is a state of Azerbaijan that shines like a bright sun from its region to the whole world." She added that the state of Azerbaijan, which we inherited from our ancestors, became a reality only in the 90s - in the person of Heydar Aliyev, under his leadership.

Stating that with Heydar Aliyev's return to power, he established and developed the state of Azerbaijan and presented it to the future generations and his successors in a complete state, the Chairman of the Committee said that our country is moving from success to success along the political path defined by the great leader. B. Muradova said that it is the duty of each of us to protect, develop, and hand over this state to future generations as a prosperous, democratic, sovereign, powerful state of Azerbaijan with a society where everyone can live comfortably.

The chairman of the committee noted that the purpose of the 100th-anniversary celebrations of the birth of Heydar Aliyev held in Azerbaijan is to remember with gratitude the man who sacrificed his whole life for the independent state of Azerbaijan, to declare that we are loyal to his path, and to gather around the head of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who continues this political path to unite and defend its decisive position.

Emphasizing that the young people whom Heydar Aliyev supported and cared for united around him like a fist and became a part of the policy he implemented, B. Muradova spoke about the importance of meeting such valuable people with the youth who are the main driving force of development, the source of energy and ideas, and who are also our future.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the youth, Ali Huseynli expressed that as a participant in both the Soviet and independence periods of Heydar Aliyev's rule, the youth was unequivocal with the National leader at that time. Talking about the difficult and tense times when the Soviet Union was disintegrated, the deputy noted that artificial obstacles were created between the people and H. Aliyev in the process of restoring our independence, he was removed from political office and kept away from the events happening in the country. A. Huseynli, who made a step-by-step excursion into the difficult times of our country, drew attention to the historical facts related to the tragedy of January 20, and talked about the known mistakes. Speaking about Heydar Aliyev's return to power during the political crisis in Azerbaijan, the deputy shared his views on his political skills as a leader, broad worldview, and rich historical knowledge.

Later, the deputy answered the questions of representatives of youth organizations about Heydar Aliyev's political legacy, the historical period he led the country, the history of our statehood and independence, and discussed the current political situation and the return to Karabakh. At the end, a commemorative photo was taken.
