Events were held in the regions on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the outstanding ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, who rendered special services in the development of medical science in our country.

The various events by Shuvelan, Saatli, Sabirabad, Hajigabul, Ismailli, Gabala, Aghdam, Zardab, Goranboy, Goygol, Zagatala Child and Family Support Centers of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children  Affairs on April 25-27, 2023 , round tables, meetings were held with the participation of talented young people, children and teenagers.

Those who spoke at the events said that academician Zarifa Aliyeva lived a meaningful life as a true intellectual with rich spirituality, and remained in the memory of our people as a beautiful person, a faithful lifelong companion, a caring mother, and a patriotic citizen.

It was noted that Mrs. Zarifa brought up her children in the spirit of hardworking, devoted to the motherland, preserving family values, as well as in the spirit of simplicity, sincerity, humility, and kindness. The life path, family, activity of the great scientist who gave light to people is an example not only for today, but also for future generations.

At the events, literary and musical compositions presented by talented young people were shown, and a film about the life and work of Mrs. Zarifa Aliyeva was viewed.

A total of 811 people participated in the events.
