Events on early marriage and consanguineous marriage were held in Khazar and Nizami districts of Baku

Educational events on the topic "Consequences of early marriage and marriage between relatives" were held on April 4, 6, 14 and 18, 2023 with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Baku Education Department.
The events took place in comprehensive secondary schools No. 183 and No. 216 named after martyr Ramiz Gasimov, located in Khazar district, as well as in comprehensive secondary schools No. 129 and 229 located in Nizami district. Teenagers, parents, school psychologists and teachers were informed about the topic in the events attended by 424 people from 52 schools.
Mrs. Samra Aliyeva and Mrs. Nargiz Sadraddinbeyli, representatives of the Family Affairs Department of the State Committee took part in the events.
Mrs. S. Aliyeva gave the participants detailed information about the difference between early marriage and child marriage, consanguineous marriages, the causes and consequences of both problems, the current situation in the world and in our country, legislative acts and the activities of the State Committee in this field. Different opinions were expressed about the topics and it was suggested to continue the activities, especially among parents at the meetings.
