A conference entitled "Women in Science" was held in Nakhchivan April 18, 2023, organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

At the beginning of the event a film dedicated to the prominent academician was shown.

The conference was attended by plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Fuad Najafli, Chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Ramila Seidova.

During the conference the winners of the contest dedicated to the memory of Zarifa Aliyeva were awarded, as well as students of the medical faculty of Nakhchivan State University, distinguished by their achievements in education.

The event continued with an artistic part in which the children performed various compositions. Following this, a performance by the Nakhchivan State University Symphony Orchestra was held.
