A meeting with the Ambassador of Sweden was held at the State Committee

On December 16, 2022 the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Mrs.Bahar Muradova met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Azerbaijan Mr. Tobias Lorenzo.
During the meeting, possibilities of cooperation and prospects of activities between Azerbaijan and Sweden in the field of gender equality were discussed.
Welcoming the guests, the Chairperson of the State Committee Bahar Muradova mentioned Azerbaijan-Sweden diplomatic and inter-parliamentary ties and stressed that relations between these two countries are successfully developing in a number of spheres.
B. Muradova mentioned that the threat of mines in the liberated lands still persists, noting that it seriously impedes the process of returning the population to their homeland.
At the same time, she noted the need to increase the skills of professionals in order to provide successful psychosocial support during this period. The Chairperson stated that our country is interested in strengthening international cooperation in this direction, as well as in ensuring gender equality. Ambassador of Sweden Tobias Lorenzoa thanked for the warm welcome and expressed confidence that the meeting would make a positive contribution to bilateral relations. T.Lorenzo paid attention to priority directions in the Embassy's activity and spoke about successful cooperation with Azerbaijan in this field. He praised Azerbaijan's work to ensure gender equality and spoke of possible future cooperation projects.
