Preliminary results of the "Women's Hotline" developed by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs , "Azercell Telekom" LLC and " Reliable Future" Social Initiatives Public Union were released.
At a meeting held within the framework of "16 Days of activism against gender based violence" campaign with participation of the Chairperson of State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova, official representatives of "Azercell Telekom" LLC and "Reliable future" NGO were presented information on measures taken in our country in this direction, stressed the importance of education in this direction.
During the meeting, the preliminary results of the "Women's Hotline", established in August this year at the initiative of "Azercell" in order to support measures to combat violence, were analyzed.
A large proportion of the women who requested help had experienced psychological and physical violence and faced family and divorce problems.
In total, the hotline received about two thousand requests, and the age range of applicants is from 18 to 45 years.
It should be noted that specialized psychologists, social workers and lawyers of the "Women's hotline" provide services to women in difficult circumstances on a 24/7 basis.
Women are provided with first aid and, if necessary, referrals are made to community legal clinics, rehabilitation centers, shelters, and NGOs that provide legal advice to victims.
