A marathon march dedicated to World Children's Day

As part of the campaign dedicated to World Children's Day, a marathon march was held in the Youth Park with the participation of more than 100 children.
The participants of the marathon, who finished the march along the circular trajectory, participated in interactive and educational games on the topic of children's rights and took part in fun activities.
The aim of the campaign is to educate children about their rights and to draw public attention to the protection of children's rights.
Organizers of the event, the officials of the organizations such as Alex Heikens, UNICEF Azerbaijan representative, Shamil Azizov, representative of the "Regional Development" Public Union (Regional Development - RIIB), Aynur Sofiyeva, Deputy Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and Nigar Aghayeva, representative of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Ombudsman made a welcome speech.
The importance of children's physical, mental and psychological health, their growth as a comprehensive personality, the improvement of the national legislative framework on children's rights in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the successful steps taken by the state to ensure quality living standards for children were discussed during the speeches.
Information was provided on large-scale projects related to children implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation under the leadership of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva. Attention was drawn to the importance of developing cooperation between relevant state institutions, international organizations and non-governmental organizations in order to promote children's rights, carry out educational work in this field, and implement initiatives in the direction of children's health and development.
The event continued with an entertainment program.
