A conference dedicated to "October 15 - International Rural Women's Day" was held on "Women's contribution to the development of the agricultural sector".

Mrs. Jeyran Rahmatullayeva, Chief of Staff of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Mrs. Ilhama Gadimova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mrs. Melek Cakmak, Head of the Partnership and Coordination Office of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Azerbaijan, members of the Association of Rural Women of Azerbaijan and female farmers attended the event.

Speaking at the conference, Mrs. Jeyran Rahmatullayeva, informed about the increase of women's employment by the Committee, ensuring their participation in entrepreneurial activity and increasing their skills, as well as the projects and support services provided for rural women.

At the end of the event, decrees and letters of thanks were presented to 41 female farmers in connection with "October 15 - International Rural Women's Day".
