At the event dedicated to the 190th anniversary of Khurshidbanu Natevan, Azerbaijan's international chess grandmasters Mrs. Aynur Sofiyeva, Mrs. Zeynab Mammadyarova and Mrs. Turkan Mammadyarova will conduct master classes.

It is no coincidence that the event is dedicated to the 190th anniversary of Khurshidbanu Natevan. Natavan, the daughter of Khan and the last heir of the Karabakh Khanate, known as the embodiment of humanity, nobility, selflessness, mercy, and philanthropist, spent a lot of effort on the improvement of the city of Shusha and the vitality of its cultural life. In addition to being a skilled wordsmith of her time, an artist deeply familiar with different types of art, she also established herself as a skilled player with high intelligence and mesmerized those around her with her ability to play chess.

Further increasing the activity of women in society and their representation in various fields, their comprehensive development and support is one of the priority directions of state policy today. The project carried out by the State Committee aims to promote the interest in intellectual games among girls more widely and to make them popular, achieve their active participation in this type of sport, to further develop the analytical thinking ability of girls, and increase their game experience, and to further develop the state policy in this direction, as well as serves to strengthen it.

We wish all the girls participating in the event good luck!
