The State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs launched the social awareness project "Let's Read and Share" in April this year.
The main goal of the project is to encourage children's interest in reading, to form a culture of listening, to increase their emotional development and outlook and, as a consequence of all this, to create conditions for a deeper understanding of life in the future.
Considering that books are made of paper and paper is made of wood, we can prevent trees from being cut down by teaching children to love books, to keep them carefully and to share them. In this way, we will also encourage children to protect the environment, to love nature and not to harm it.
As part of the year-long project, volunteers plan to send books to children living in Baku city and districts and, after using these books, to pass them on to their peers living in the same area and expand the reach of the project.
