According to the first "State Program for the Protection of Human Rights" in the Republic of Azerbaijan approved by our national leader Heydar Aliyev on June 18, 1998, as one of the main directions of state policy to ensure human rights, the National Human Rights Day has been established in Azerbaijan by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated June 18, 2007.
