Webinar on "Gender equality and the role of parental leave in gender equality"

In the framework of the project “Implementation of a gender-sensitive innovative communication and media campaign to promote gender equality-based parental leave policy in Azerbaijan” implemented by UNFPA and Regional Development Public Union (RDPU), a webinar was held on “Gender Equality and Parental Leave Role in gender equality”.
The webinar was hosted by Mr.Elgun Safarov, Deputy Chair of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, Head of the Information and Analytical Research Department of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, an expert on international law, human rights and freedoms. The volunteers will later support the dissemination of campaign materials in public places and on social media as part of the project activities.
The EU-funded webinar was organized within the “EU for Gender Equality: Together Against Gender Stereotypes and Gender-Based Violence” (EU4GE) program implemented jointly by “United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)” and the United Nations Agency for Women (UN Women).
