In accordance with item 12.2.6 of the National Action Plan on Combating Domestic Violence in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2023, “Organization of lectures and seminars in higher education and vocational education institutions on the prevention and control of domestic violence” on March 3, 2022, an event called "Let's say NO to domestic violence!" was held with the participation of first-year students at the Azerbaijan Technical University.

Rafig Mahmudov and Samra Aliyeva, the employees of the Family Problems Department of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs made a presentation entitled "How should we protect ourselves from domestic violence?". Students were informed about what domestic violence is, types of violence, mechanisms to support victims of violence, the existing legal framework, local and foreign experience, large-scale measures taken by the State Committee on Domestic Violence.

A film dedicated to domestic violence presented at the "Azerbaijan Family" film festival was shown at the event. At the same time, young people shared a poster on the topic on their social network accounts with the hashtags #fortheworldfulloflove and #worldwithoutviolence.

The event continued with discussions. More than 50 students benefited from the event.
